What is CLASSICAL PILATES

Classical Pilates is original and true to the system Joe Pilates developed from the early 1900’s until his death in December 1967.
Pilates is a method based upon the natural state of the body and spine, honouring its natural curves and movements. You will find Pilates in your daily life, whether you are sitting on a couch watching tv or twisting your body into an awkward position to reach away an object. This is because Pilates is all about supporting your body in the right way when it needs quick muscle activation and joint protection to act upon a movement pattern.
Now this is what makes Classical Pilates so unique: its all there for you! The equipment, the exercise repertoire on the Mat and Reformers, the exercises given on the rest of the apparatus from Joe himself..its such a clever and challenging system for the mind and body connection that all you have to do is follow and trust the method itself, and wonderful things will happen in and out!
So, if you haven’t tried the Classical work until now, I urge you to give it a go, and let your body speak for itself just after a few lessons, or maybe even one!? I know for sure it rocked my world (literally)….and Im sure it would rock yours too!
